Tiffany Roses and a Smoking Rabbit
The Whole Foods down the street from me has some great flowers. I found this pot of Tiffany Roses and had to buy it for my bedroom. The collage behind is one of ten I made that accompany textile work and will be featured on the new website.
Gemology 101
I recently started a new job in a field I have little knowledge and background in. I have always admired and enjoyed jewelry and now I find myself training in gemology and designing/selling custom pieces! I think this is a great opportunity to expand my creative realm and so far its been a fun fascinating experience. There is still much, much more to learn.......

One Year Anniversary!
Tomorrow, my hubby and I are celebrating our one year anniversary! I can't believe its been 365 days already! This is the dress I plan to wear to our dinner at Bouchon restaurant in Napa. I wanted to wear something bright and cheerful. The color orange has been attracting me recently and I keep seeing it everywhere. It is made from printed linen and I love the way it fits and feels. I am soo excited about the food and enjoying a great bottle (or two) of wine!

First Cushion Complete!
I finished my first woven cushion tonight! This one is very pale pink, cream and whites and is made from a variety of wool, silk, and cotton yarns. I have four more in this series waiting to be stuffed, each in a similar woven pattern but ranging in color schemes from black/grey, purple/orange, green/yellow and coral/cream hues. I need to take some really good pics of them and the other items asap for the new site.

With this Ring......
I found these wonderful custom ceramic ring bearers on etsy! They are by Palomas Nest. I was going to sew a traditional pillow but now I plan to have one of these made for the wedding!

Cartier Tiger
I read this great article in the NY times on Cartier, 'Then and Now'. One of the brooches caught my eye; can you guess which one is the real deal? Well yes, it may be obvious, the top left for sure. I did however come across some nice look a likes on eBay, fraction of the cost with plenty of bling, all be it fake!
