May Dress

I am going to an engagement party in a couple of weeks and want to wear a dress that is comfortable with drape. I finally tracked down this dress from LinQ. The material is extremely soft and the silhouette is versatile, It can be worn strapless as well as halter. The best part is I can dress it up or wear it casually with sandals throughout the summer.

Edgar Mueller's Street Art

This is a sidewalk painting titled 'Crevasse' by Edgar Mueller, created on a pier in Ireland. It reminds me of the scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, where Indie has to take the leap of faith across the void. What an incredible piece of street art!

Stinson Beach

The weather has been so warm this past week and I actually made it to the beach for the first time this year! Nothing beats a Corona on the beach and a sunset BBQ! I love Stinson, the small town is nestled along the coast and filled with creative people who enjoy a relaxed, sunny way of life. I would live here but I will have to get used to the windy road!

Harrison Street Flora!

I have started carrying my camera around daily now, as everywhere I look I discover springs bounty of flowers in bloom. I am even considering breaking out the old watercolors, or maybe re-creating some flowers in fabric.

Feeling Colorful

Inspired by the colorful, abstract floral trend, I am keen to use bright hues and create playful and fun things! With the economy at rock bottom I think we all need a pick me up.

Breezy Beach Scarf

I love working with light weight silk, and grey and white shades. I plan to add a silk range to the store along side the woven pieces. Hopefully, my model contact will pose for me at the beach this summer to take some pics!

Bonnie Cashin Bags

I am not really a big 'Coach' bag girl. I think the quality went down dramatically over the last five or so years as they tried to appease the youth market with affordable luxury. That being said I am quite excited by the new range of bags, re-kindled from the old design aesthetics of Coach designer, Bonnie Cashin. Bright, retro, quirky, functional and actually interesting to look at.

Blair Castle Booked!

I am so excited! We have booked the venue for our June 2010 wedding!! Blair Castle in Blair Atholl and its absolutely gorgeous! Let the planning commence. Located at the foot of the Cairngorms, Blair Castle sits in one of Scotland's iconic estates stretching across 145,000 acres of Highland Perthshire. This spectacular scenery, wildlife and much admired Blair Castle make the perfect location for our wedding!

The castle itself is steeped in history and is home to the Atholl Highlanders, europes only remaining private army. There are several beautiful rooms to visit within the castle along side the glorious walled gardens and grounds.

A Real Gift

I have been setting up a wedding website and have included a small segment for a gift registry. I came across this website for World Vision which allows you to create a gift list with items selected by communities in which World Vision works. For example, for $48 you can train a community nurse, or for $170 you can buy a herd of goats, and for juct $18 plant ten fruit trees!!It will give me so much satisfaction to make this our gift registry which will activley help fight poverty, hunger and disease. Who needs another toaster......
