Spode

I have always been a keen collector of china and ceramics and this is my most recent purchase. This is my second piece from the 'Blue Italian' collection by Spode. The pattern itself is over 170 years old and there is some speculation as to the origin of this pattern which only adds to the charm. I love the idea of investing in quality, traditional china such as this. In years to come it will be rewarding to have these items to pass on. Recently there has been a trend towards this custom of the past and increasingly there is recognition in young consumers towards craftsmanship and considered design. I cant wait to use this for thanksgiving turkey!
